Then last week I picked it back up and completed the game in another 45 hours, the other 3 beasts down and ganon defeated. I wound up playing the game in 2 chunks basically, 55 hours in March right after release, got through 1 divine beast in that time and got burnt out, put the game down. Somewhere near the middle of my list probably. All things told, it's my favorite open world game I've ever played (granted, that number's pretty low, I don't play many), but not one of my favorite Zeldas. Love the story, I’m trying really hard to love the game but it’s just not happening for me. It was surprisingly easy to beat Gannon and Hyrule castle had interesting texts to read but it just felt like a giant mountain to climb to reach Gannon. I was excited for Hyrule castle however because I thought it would be a giant dungeon and Gannon would be the hardest boss fight of the game. I tried to love the exploration but would often get bored. I got overpowered very easily(although that’s probably my fault), much of the unexplored land was just empty.
I found the game really fun at first and extremely fun defeating van Ruta, but then the game experience went downhill for me. Upon purchase I was excited because this was my second Zelda game ever so all of the concepts in Loz were new to me. Upon picking up my switch my mind was very clear on the game I wanted, botw. Not trying to offend anyone but I heard a bunch of things about the game, all of which were great.
